Police in Oklahoma are now on the lookout for one D.R. who allegedly broke into the car of a guest who had parked their vehicle at the Choctaw Casino parking lot.
Suspect Who Burglarized Car at Casino Identified
Authorities used surveillance footage to identify the suspect, who is supposedly seen on camera putting a plastic bag containing what is claimed to be $60,000 in cash into his pocket. The incident happened back in September, but police finally have the identity of the person who they believe committed the crime.
The footage shows the perpetrator not just taking away the $60,000 in cash, but also returning to the burglarized vehicle and removing another item. The victim, who was not mentioned by name in the report, confirmed that a plastic bag containing $60,000 and his wallet, which contained his bank card and $300, were indeed missing from the vehicle.
D.R., who still hasn’t been apprehended, is now on the lam, and police want to charge him with larceny and burglary as soon as they catch him. The arrest warrant has been issued without any further details. It is not clear if Robinson’s whereabouts are known to police either.
Choctaw Casino Scene of Several Crimes over the Past Years
This is not the first time the Choctaw Casino has been the scene of an incident, but it isn’t uncharacteristic for criminals to be attracted to respected casinos that enjoy a good number of visitors every day.
In June, a deadly shooting led to the death of a 51-year-old man at the Choctaw Casino as reported at the time. An individual, who has been identified as A.L., a 20-year-old male, was detained in the immediate fallout of the incident.
The case quickly involved the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to ensure a smooth resolution and clarify all the details surrounding the incident. According to investigators, the deadly shot was produced after an altercation between the shooter and the deceased at one of the higher tiers of the casino’s parking lot.
The case is not open and shut, however, as the 20-year-old shooter could have been acting in self-defense as rumors soon swirled across social media that the altercation was over a car, as the shooter reportedly found the deceased and his wife sitting in front of his car.
Oklahoma authorities previously arrested another casino shooter, J. S. F. at the Osage Casino Hotel. Thankfully, no one was hurt as a result of the shooter’s actions.
