Every win from the lottery brings excitement. However, nothing can quite compare to winning a top prize from the lottery, which is exactly what happened to one of two incredibly lucky players in North Carolina.
Earlier this week, one Greensboro player hit a jackpot of nearly $250,000 from the North Carolina Education Lottery’s popular ticket Cash 5 DoublePlay. Again, this week, a Johnston County woman won $100,000 from the Lottery’s new scratch-off game, Supreme 7s.
The recent wins come at a time when a new alliance in North Carolina helped bring metrics-based gambling treatment to the state. The initiative enables people affected by problem gambling to access metrics-based clinical treatment.
Winners Take Home Mouth-Watering Lottery Prizes
Focusing once again on the win, Mauris Matos from Greensboro visited the Lottery’s headquarters after recently winning a $246,260 jackpot from a $1 Cash 5 ticket on Monday night.
According to the lottery, the lucky player bought his ticket from Bessemer Stop on Bessemer Avenue in Greensboro. After the required deductible state and federal tax on the win, the player’s bank account increased by $176,255.
To participate in Cash 5, North Carolina players can purchase tickets via retail locations across the state. Alternatively, they can also participate by buying tickets from the North Carolina Education Lottery’s website or by using its mobile app.
The player from Greensboro didn’t disclose what are his plans for the hefty win.
As noted, a second player also secured a mouth-watering prize from the Lottery this week. The name of the lucky player is Lois Driver and she purchased her winning Supreme 7s ticket from Benson Food Mart on East Main Street in Benson.
The player from Clayton bought the $30 scratch-off ticket for the Lottery’s newest games. To her pleasant surprise, Driver won the first $100,000 prize from the recently launched scratch-off game.
On Monday this week, the lucky Clayton player visited the Lottery’s headquarters to claim her prize. After the deducted federal and state tax, Driver was left with nearly $72,000.
Supreme 7s marked its debut only last week. The $30 per ticket scratch-off game grants customers a chance to secure four $4 million top prizes. Considering the latest $100,000 win, there are nine such prizes up for grabs.
